INSPIRED DESIGN: DEN FROM A STAR IS BORN HOUSE

The mind boggles at the creativity in design and staging on film sets. However when the set is already an architectural prize sometimes less is more. In the case of the Douglas Rucker designed house used for A Star is Born (check out the real property here) the original property boasts seemingly modest decor, allowing the architectural features to be the main focus.

The den adjacent to the kitchen is a prime example of this. Black framed clerestory windows are aptly chosen for the space, allowing natural light to pour in while maintaining privacy. Dark wood flooring and ceiling beams highlight the natural grain of the wood paneling throughout the space. A massive bookcase lines the wall and is topped with a succession of globes. The furnishing are primarily midcentury modern with a mix of textures and pop art for added visual interest. Take a look below at how you can recreate a similar look!
